Store Policy/Terms & Conditions

(Know Before You Buy or Repair)

1. Repair Service Terms

  • Quotes & Estimates: If there are any changes to your original quote or if no upfront quote has been provided, iFIX NYC will contact you before commencing any work.
  • Non-Refundable Diagnostic Fee: A non-refundable service fee of $50 will be charged if a water-damaged device is deemed irreparable.
  • No Liability for Data Loss: iFIX NYC is not responsible for any data loss during repairs. Customers are strongly advised to back up their devices before submitting them for service.
  • Removal of Personal Items: Customers must remove cases, covers, styluses, SIM cards, and memory cards before submitting devices for repair. iFIX NYC does not accept responsibility for the loss of these items.
  • Uncollected Devices: If iFIX NYC does not receive payment or the customer does not pick up the device within 30 days after the invoice date, the device will be considered forfeited, and iFIX NYC reserves the right to recycle or resell the device.
  • Repair Risks & Limitations: Due to the complexity of some devices, iFIX NYC is not responsible for any unforeseen issues or damages that may occur during the repair process.
  • Pre-Existing Issues: iFIX NYC is not responsible for pre-existing conditions that worsen during the repair process.
  • Right to Refuse Service: iFIX NYC reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, especially in cases of abusive behavior, fraudulent transactions, or violations of store policies.
  • Manufacturer Warranty Disclaimer: Repairs performed by iFIX NYC may void the manufacturer’s warranty. Customers acknowledge this before proceeding with repairs.
  • Tampering & Unauthorized Repairs: If a device has been tampered with or previously repaired by another shop, iFIX NYC is not liable for additional damage that may occur during repair.

2. Sales & Return Policy

  • No Refunds - Store Credit Only: All sales are final unless otherwise implied in writing. Store credit may be issued at management’s discretion, but cash refunds are not provided.
  • Exemptions from Refunds: No refunds will be issued for bill payments, activations, prepaid refills, PIN purchases, repairs, services, parts, or device unlocking.
  • Exchange Policy: Phones and accessories can be exchanged within 7 days, provided they are unopened, unused, and accompanied by the original receipt. Returns without a receipt are not accepted.
  • Restocking Fee: If a refund is exceptionally approved by management, a 10% restocking fee will be deducted per item.
  • Defective Accessories Returns: Defective accessories (such as chargers, cables, and cases) must be returned within 7 days for an exchange. Store credit only. Physical damage voids the return policy.

3. Repair Warranty & Liabilities

  • Screen Repair Warranty: LCD, digitizer, and screen repairs are subject to a 14-day warranty from the date of pickup, covering only the repaired component. This warranty does not cover physical damage, water damage, cracks, or lines on the screen. Customers must present the original receipt to claim warranty service.
  • Other Repair Warranties: All other repairs and services include a 14-day warranty from the date of pickup, applicable only if the same issue reoccurs and is reported within the warranty period. Original receipt required.
  • Water-Damaged Devices: Even if deemed irreparable, water-damaged devices may be subject to a service charge.
  • Third-Party Services: If a third-party service is required for unlocking or special-order parts, no refunds will be provided until the third party approves a refund.
  • Customer Responsibility: Customers must remove all passwords, patterns, and locks before submitting devices for repair. iFIX NYC is not responsible for ID lock, password, or disabled conditions.
  • Post-Repair Responsibility: iFIX NYC is not responsible for any new issues that arise due to pre-existing conditions in the device following a repair.
  • Customer Cooperation for Unlocking & Services: Customers must provide correct account details, passcodes, or necessary login credentials for unlocking services. iFIX NYC is not responsible for delays due to incorrect information.

4. Pricing & Payment Policies

  • Market-Dependent Pricing: All prices listed are estimates and may change due to fluctuations in market conditions and supplier costs.
  • Final Cost Confirmation: The final repair cost will be confirmed after a diagnostic assessment. Customers will be notified of any additional costs before work begins.
  • Special-Order Parts: Some repairs may require special-order parts, which can affect pricing and turnaround time.
  • Tax & Additional Fees: Listed prices do not include applicable sales tax or service fees, which will be added at checkout.
  • Expedited Services: Rush repairs are available at an additional cost, subject to parts availability.
  • Payment Terms: Full payment is required upon completion of the repair. A deposit may be required for high-cost repairs before work begins.

5. Device Collection & Storage Policy

  • Device Pickup Deadline: Customers must collect repaired devices within 30 days of notification. iFIX NYC is not responsible for any loss or damage after this period.
  • Abandoned Devices: Devices left unclaimed for more than 30 days will be considered abandoned and forfeited. iFIX NYC reserves the right to recycle or resell unclaimed devices.
  • Extended Storage Fees: If a device is not collected within 30 days, a storage fee of $5 per day may apply before forfeiture.

6. Additional Legal & Liability Clauses

  • Limited Liability Clause: iFIX NYC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of business, lost profits, or emotional distress caused by delays or issues in service.
  • Legal Compliance & Fraudulent Submissions: Customers must not submit stolen or illegally obtained devices for repair. iFIX NYC cooperates with law enforcement regarding suspicious transactions and reserves the right to refuse service if fraud is suspected.
  • Force Majeure: iFIX NYC is not liable for delays or service interruptions due to unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, including natural disasters, supply chain disruptions, or government actions.
  • Privacy Policy: iFIX NYC respects your privacy and will not access or share personal data unless required for repair purposes. We comply with applicable data protection laws.
  • Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any legal actions must be filed in New York County.
  • Dispute Resolution: Any disputes will be resolved through mediation in New York City before escalating to legal action. Both parties agree to attempt good-faith resolution.

7. Policy Updates & Amendments

  • Right to Modify Terms: iFIX NYC reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
  • Customer Agreement: By submitting a device for repair or making a purchase, customers agree to abide by the store policies outlined in this document.
